Henry VIII (1509-1547), First coinage, Halfgroat, Tower, mm. portcullis, 1.31gm (N 1763; S 2318); James I, First coinage, Shilling, mm. lis, second bust, 5.67gm (N 2073; S 2646); together with other miscellaneous hammered silver coins, Henry III to Charles II (15) [17]. A few fair to fine, but some pierced (£50-70)

The lot includes a very clipped Henry VII Facing Bust issue Halfgroat of Canterbury, ‘found at [the] head of a Derbyshire lead mine’ according to the ticket
