R.C. Fletcher was commissioned into the Army Service Corps in 1916 from the 28th London Regiment. During W.W.2 he served with the Royal Artillery as an Instructor in Gunnery and later as Military Commanding Officer and T.S.O.1 at the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough.
