An Officer’s Gorget of Spurious Manufacture and Engraving.
Made from silver coloured metal and purporting to be of the mid-18th century period with no attempt to construct it on a wire frame. It features the pre 1801 Royal Arms in repousse, similar floral swags in the upper areas. Later engraved ‘77th’ ‘Regt.’,
as found in good condition £100-£140
