Edward Golding served as a Quarter-Master’s Mate aboard H.M.S. Amphion in the action with a Franco-Venetian squadron in the Adriatic Sea on 13 March 1811. The Amphion 32, Captain William Hoste, had 15 killed and 47 wounded in the action, the highest casualties of any ship in the squadron. Approximately 123 clasps issued for Lissa, including 36 to the Amphion.
