49th (Hertfordshire) Regiment Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c. 1790-1812, a good quality example, the heavy oval shaped copper gilt back plate with silver mounts being St. George’s crown over ‘49’, the crown is affixed via a period screw post and nut, the numerals are applied, two hook and two stud fasteners, the only gilt remaining is around the crown and the numerals otherwise good condition for age £600-£800
