Charles I (1625-1649), Oxford mint, Groat, 1644, mm. floriated cross on obv. only, Rawlins’ bust with lion’s head on shoulder, Shrewsbury plume between two lis above Declaration, date and ox below, pellet before legend, 1.68g/3h (Morr. B-1; SCBI Brooker 956; N 2462; S 2985). Attempted piercing in obverse field, otherwise about very fine, rare £300-£400
