William Edward Taylor was a native of Southborough, Kent, and the husband of Margery Hooper Taylor of The Mill House, Speldhurst, Kent. He served during the Great War with the 55th Battery, 33rd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, and was killed in action on the Western Front, 31 July 1917.
Lieutenant Taylor is buried in the Vlamertinghe New Military Cemetery, Belgium.
