India General Service 1908-35, 1 clasp, North West Frontier 1908 (279 Pte. H. Millward.1st. R. War. R.) mounted court-style for display purposes alongside the ribands for the 1914 Star, this with a copy clasp, and British War and Victory Medals, edge bruising, good very fine £140-180

Henry Millward was born in Birmingham and attested there for the Royal Warwickshire Regiment. He served with the 1st Battalion on the North West Frontier of India, and during the Great War on the Western Front, where he was wounded in the arm in September 1914. He was killed in action during the battle of the Somme on 12 October 1916, on which date the battalion was in the front line trenches east of Les bœufs. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
