Alan Leslie Milne was born in London, England on 10 May 1887. His copied attestation paper records that he spent 10 years in the military - 5 with the Q.O.R., before attesting for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Toronto on 9 August 1915.

Private Leon Benson Stewart joined the 69th Battalion Canadian Infantry on 9 December 1915 in St. John, New Brunswick. He later transferred to the 14th Battalion. Serving with them, he died of wounds on 18 August 1917 and was buried in the Chocques Military Cemetery, France. Sold with copied service details and CWGC extract.
