Edward Tobin was born in and enlisted at Clonmel. Serving with the Royal Irish Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 2 February 1915. Serving with the 2nd Battalion he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 3 May 1915, aged 26 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. He was the son of Edward and Margaret Usher Tobin. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
