Léon Laurent Galand (1872-1960), b. Montpelier, artist of the French Impressionist school noted for his landscape pictures and reclining nudes, winner of the Prix de Rome 1896. Paul Guadet (1873-1931), son of the architect Juan Guadet (1834-1908), studied at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts from 1891 to 1904 and subsequently worked in Tangier and Paris
