Arthur Mould was born in Tamworth, Staffordshire. A Groom by occupation, he attested for the Royal Welsh Fusiliers at Tamworth on 28 December 1891, aged 20 years. He served in India, November 1892-November 1896; Malta, November-December 1896 and India, December 1896-December 1897. He transferred to the Army Reserve in December 1898 but was recalled to the Colours in October 1899, serving in South Africa, October 1899-August 1902. He was discharged on 27 December 1903. With copied service papers and roll extracts on paper and C.D.
