John Young Watson was born in Montrose, Scotland on 17 December 1888. A Driver, Millwright & Carpenter by occupation, he attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Vancouver on 9 March 1916. Serving with the 2nd Field Company Canadian Engineers, he entered France on 11 October 1916. For his brave services in the field he was twice awarded the Military Medal. Discharged in May 1919. He died in Vancouver, 3 June 1970. With copied service papers.
