Arthur Grayston was born in Leeds, lived in Scarborough and enlisted at York. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Durham Light Infantry, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 8 September 1914. He died of wounds there on 21 September 1914. He was buried in the Sissonne British Cemetery. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
Driver Thomas Grayston, Army Service Corps, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 10 May 1915. He later served in the East Yorkshire Regiment and the Machine Gun Corps. With copied m.i.c.
Both sets of medals in named (repaired) card boxes of issue; plaque in card envelope.
