Albert Edward King was born in Wandsworth, London and enlisted on 19 May 1916 and embarked on 24 August 1916. Serving with the 1st Australian Pioneer Battalion he was killed in action in France on 23 August 1918, aged 29 years. He was buried in the Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres. He was the son of William Martin King and Emily King.
