Thomas Tracey was born in 1904 and enlisted into the Royal Ulster Rifles at Omagh on 2 May 1927. With them he served overseas in India, February 1928-November 1931; Sudan, November 1931-January 1933; Palestine, January-December 1933; Egypt, December 1933-November 1935; Palestine, November 1937-April 1939; with the B.E.F., October 1939-2 June 1940; N.W. Europe, 8 June 1944-October 1945. He was discharged on 27 August 1951.
