Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Delhi (Corpl. Jas. Hodge, 1st Eurn. Bengal Fusrs.) very fine £380-420

James Hodge enlisted into H.E.I.C. forces on 25 October 1845. Serving with the 1st European Bengal Fusiliers, he was severely wounded by a gunshot at Delhi - resulting in the amputation of his right leg. Being found incapable of further service he was discharged on 15 March 1858. With copied discharge papers and roll extract.
