Private John Merchaitis, 1st Battalion Devonshire Regiment, was killed/died in Burma, 8 March 1945. His name is commemorated on the Rangoon Memorial. He was the son of Peter and Sally Merchaitis. With named condolence slip and medal forwarding box addressed to ‘Mrs S. Merchaitis, 14 Winifred Street, North Woolwich, E.16’

Sapper Leslie Rowe, 204th Field Company, R.E. was killed/died in Germany on 30 March 1945, aged 20 years. He was buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Cleves, Germany. Sapper Rowe was the son of Clarence and Florence Rowe, of Osmondthorpe, Leeds, Yorkshire. With named condolence slip mounted on card and two photographs of the reciepient.

Private F. J. Stanton, R.A.M.C. died on 15 February 1945, aged 40 years. He was the son of Frederick and Norah Stanton and husband of Emma L. Stanton, of Limehouse, London. He was buried in the Haywards Heath (Western Road) Cemetery.
