William John Malyon was born in Portsmouth on 12 June 1859. Entering the Royal Navy in November 1880, he attained the rank of C.E.R.A. 1st Class in April 1902. Served on Centurion, February 1897-September 1901, seeing service in China. Awarded the long service medal in 1893. Pensioned in November 1902. With copied service paper.
