37th (North Hampshire) Regiment Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c. 1830 - 40. A very scarce example being a rectangular copper gilt back plate with silver mounts, these comprise a central QVC with ‘37’ below enclosed by laurel sprays, above a scroll ‘Minden’ and a scroll below the laurels ‘Peninsula’, standard stud and hook fasteners, the back plate with distortion on one side and lacking some gilt, otherwise very good condition £600-800
