A Royal Naval Shoulder Belt Plate c1780-1790. An extremely rare excavated oval example in heavy gauge die-stamped brass, the raised design shows a fouled anchor within a single raised line, complete with single hook and two stud fasteners, 6.5 x 5.1cm, the hook fastener is fractured but still just intact otherwise in very good excavated condition
