A Crimean group of three to Private Miles Troughton, Grenadier Guards

CRIMEA 1854-55, 4 clasps, Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann, Sebastopol (3909, 3rd Battn. Grenr. Guards) regimentally impressed naming; TURKISH CRIMEA, Sardinian issue, unnamed; ARMY L.S. & G.C., V.R., small letter reverse (Grenr. Gds.) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspender, officially impressed naming, some contact marks and edge knocks, otherwise nearly very fine and better (3)

Miles Troughton served in the Crimea with the 3rd Battalion Grenadier Guards and was present at the actions of the Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann, siege and fall of Sebastopol. He received a slight contusion on the head in the advanced trenches before Sebastopol. He was awarded the Long Service medal without gratuity on 25th June, 1862.
