Harry Hayman was born in Bethnal Green, lived in Hackney and enlisted at Shoreditch, London. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 10 July 1915. He died on 30 July 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
