Brian Garthwaite Wistow was born in South Yorkshire on 3 February 1929.

With two Certificates awarded by the Lord Lieutenant of Clwyd for ‘Outstanding Service and Devotion to Duty in the Sea Cadet Corps’, one dated 1 December 1974, the other, 31 December 1990. Also with a certificate presented on his retirement after 35 years service, dated March 1990. Together with original bestowal certificate for the Jubilee Medal 1977, and some additional copied notes.
