Stephen Cunningham was born in Felling, Durham and enlisted at West Hartlepool. Serving as a Company Sergeant-Major in the 19th Battalion Durham Light Infantry, he died of wounds on 20 July 1916. He was buried in the La Neuvelle British Cemetery, Corbie, Somme, France.
Medals to ‘Billinghurst’ in damaged card boxes of issue, fragmentary registered envelopes and with recipient’s ‘Protection Certificate’.
