Corporation of Glasgow Bravery Medal, 1st type, silver (Fireman William Grant, Northern Division) lacking brooch bar, good very fine £100-140

Fireman William Grant, Northern Division, was awarded the Glasgow Bravery Medal on 12 August 1930.

‘Constable Roderick McKenzie McFarlane, “E” Division; and Superintendent Alexander Morrison and Firemen William Grant and John Edwards, all of the Northern Division, who displayed great bravery and devotion to duty in their attempt to rescue several persons from a burning house in a four-storey tenement at 163 Coweaddens Street, on 25th February last’.
