Andrew Byrne was born and lived in Kingstown, Ireland and enlisted at Dublin. Serving with the 1st Battalion Connaught Rangers, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 27 August 1915. He was buried in the Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, Souchez, Pas de Calais, France.
