Waterloo 1815 (John Bain, 1st Batt. 79th Reg. Foot) fitted with replacement steel clip and ring suspension, edge bruising and contact wear overall, therefore good fine £2000-2500
John Bain was born in the Parish of Latheron, Caithness, and enlisted into the 79th Regiment on 1 March 1809. He was discharged at Blandeque on 24 July 1816, in consequence of having received a gun shot wound in the right shoulder joint on the 16th June 1815 at Quatre Bras.
