1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Burma Star; Defence and War Medals, these unnamed as issued but sold with three named Buffalo Lodge medals, and another unnamed one, three identity discs, photograph of the recipient, various badges including his original Chindit ‘Special Force’ cloth badge with award document, a silk map of Burma, and numerous original documents, generally good very fine and scarce (8)

The documents sold with this lot relating to 5953455 Private E.P.James, Beds & Herts Regiment, include Soldier’s Service and Pay Book (2), Release Book, R.A.O.B. Certificate of Affiliation, and various other official documents including two official ‘slips’, both April 1944, to his wife explaining that she will receive no letters for some time to come because “the type of operations in which he is taking part make it impossible for him to write.”
