Herbert John Roy Hosking, 7th Battalion (att. 3rd Bn.) Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, killed in action 23.7.1916. Sold with 4 pages from the War Diary giving an account of the Battalion’s attack at Bazentin Le Petit on 23 July, in which the casualties were 11 Officers and 290 Other Ranks.
