Herbert David Moxon, b. Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, e. Kingston on Thames, 8th Battalion, died of wounds 6.8.1916. The 8th East Surreys are famed for their exploit on the 1st July, 1916, when they went over the top kicking ahead of them two footballs brought up by Captain Nevill.
Jesse Edwin George Wareham, 1st Battalion, killed in action 1.7.1916, the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
