Robert Glendining, b. Greenbrae, Dumfries, e. Berwick, Northumberland, killed in action, 2nd Battalion, France & Flanders 3.9.1916, attack on Falfsmont Farm, 1st Battle of the Somme. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. Age 28.
