Born Hulme, Manchester, enlisted Manchester, killed in action, 1/6th Battalion, 4.6.1915, Krithia, Gallipoli. Sold with 3 pages from the War Diary, “The losses were very heavy and eventually the strength about 150 held the line of H11, H70, H9 under the Comg. Officer during the night of June 4th.”
