Punjab 1848-49, 1 clasp, Chilianwala (Sergt. B. W. Loadsman, 24th Foot) rank engraved, otherwise good very fine

Benjamin William Loadsman was a Corporal at the battle of Chilianwala where he was wounded. He was promoted to Sergeant shortly after the battle and obviously took exception to his medal being named in his old rank when he received it in 1851. Sold with copies from the medal and muster rolls.
