Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Elandslaagte, Defence of Ladysmith (1907 Pte. S. J. Fleming, 5/Lcrs.) nearly extremely fine £400-450
S. J. Fleming was killed in action near Aberdeen on 6 April 1901 whilst serving with the 5th Lancers, being the only man of his regiment killed that day when his unit was attacked by an estimated 400 Boers. Sold with copied roll extract which confirms clasps.
