H.M.S. Barfleur was a Battleship of 10,500 tons, built in Chatham Dockyard and launched in August 1892. A total of 272 officers and other ranks of the ship were entitled to the China Medal with single clasp ‘Relief of Pekin’.
Able Seaman A. H. Culmer was wounded in the left thigh at Tientsin on 13 July 1900.
