Robert Carr was born at Long Benton, Northumberland, and enlisted at Cleadon on 17 May 1806, aged 18 years, for unlimited service. He served 9 years 181 days in the West Indies and was discharged, ‘worn out and having a chronic infection of the liver’, at Edinburgh on 8 October 1826. Sold with copy discharge papers.
