A good French HM silver mounted hanger circa 1780, cross-guard with recurved quillons and quillon block decorated with spiral fluting, ferrule with scalloped edge having engraved bands flat silver pommel, silver tang button, single piece green stained ivory grip cut with fine raised borders, the heavy straight 56cm triple fullered blade cut-down from an earlier broadsword blade, complete with its wood shagreen covered scabbard having top locket with hanging ring and frog-stud and chape both decorated en-suite with the hilt, crossguard a little loose, scabbard edge split otherwise good condition £300-350
