James W. Biltcliffe, from Thornhill, Dewsbury, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war, as a Serjeant in the 1st Battalion King’s Royal Rifle Corps, on 13 August 1914. During 1919-27 he served at the Rifle Depot as an Orderley Room Q.M. Serjeant. Listed as the Superintending Clerk at Brigade H.Q. in 1926. Sold with copied research; clasp confirmed.
