William Adamson enlisted into the 92nd on 9 November 1857, and was sent to the battalion at Mhow in India on 26 March 1858. He was part of the detachment of about 100 men of the 92nd, under the command of Major R. M. Sutherland, which defeated the rebels at Rajpore on 24 November 1858. It was for this service that he qualified for his Indian Mutiny medal. Sold with full muster details.
