Leith Trinity House Artillery Volunteers, an excessively rare officer’s cast gilt brass shako grenade c1803-12, the ball superbly engraved with a central mortar on a platform, the ‘GR’ cypher below, around the rim ‘Leith Trinity Artillery’, two small pierced integral ‘ears’ near the neck of the grenade, the reverse with evidence of two further fasteners now removed, very good condition £800-1000
