84th (York & Lancaster) Regiment, a very scarce Field Officer’s sabretache c1870-1881 of black leather throughout and with two metal mounts comprising the ‘York and Lancaster Rose’ silver with gilt centre over a gilt monogram ‘YL’ this of ornate stylised formation, crazed overall, the ornaments not original to the tache, this being of plain undress pattern with provision for paper sheets note case etc, one of two ‘D’ rings missing £100-150
