Boisseau, 1915, standing figure representing ancient Gaul, facing right, in a posture of defiance, a broken sword in his left side, sheltering two frightened children, reverse, plain tablet at top, below arms, si vis pacem para bellum on smaller tablet beneath. Extremely fine
This is the only medal known to have been made by the French sculptor Émile-André Boisseau (1842-1923). Obverse only illustrated
