Scotland, Glasgow Agricultural Society’s Show, a silver award medal by B. Wyon, cow standing right, rev. named (Given by William Lockhart M.P. for Lanarkshire - Adjudged to James Murdoch Esqr, Carntyne, the Best Pair of Cows in Milk of Ayrshire Breed, Bred by the Exhibitor and never out of his Possession, 14th June 1853), 46mm. Good very fine; set in a plain silver border with integral suspension and loop, probably previously glazed £80-£100
