This medal is recorded in a letter by Montagu Burgoyne, owner of Mark Hall, in Annals of Agriculture and Other Useful Arts, collected and published by Arthur Young in 1804. Although the medal itself is unnamed, the letter names the winner as Mark Duckitt of Esher.
