William McArthur Vokins, Private, 78th Canadian Infantry, served with the 78th from 8 March 1917. He was wounded by a gunshot in the right arm on 1 September 1917, and killed in action near Passchendaele on 30 October 1917, aged 29. He was a farmer from Lashburn, Saskatchewan, son of Mary Vokins, of Ramsbury, Wiltshire, and is commemorated by name on the Menin Gate Memorial.
