Having now reached an age well beyond my three score years and ten, I have decided that, whilst I am still able, it is time for me to pass on the custodianship of the medals in my collection to younger hands. I hope that the new custodians gain as much pleasure and interest from them as I have over the years.
I was given the first medal in my collection by a relative back in 1943, and made my first purchases in August 1947 from a street stall whilst on holiday, for the princely sum of two shillings each, mainly because I was attracted by the ribands!
So goodbye old friends, and thank you for the hours of pleasure that you have given me over the years.
