Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 3 clasps, Tel-El-Kebir, The Nile 1884-85, Abu Klea (7452. Pte. C. Collett. 2/Grenr. Gds.) edge bruise and heavy contact marks, good fine £600-£800

Provenance: Jack Webb Collection, Dix Noonan Webb, December 2008.

2 officers and 43 other ranks of the 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards served on the Nile Expedition in the Guards Camel Regiment, of whom both officers and 42 other ranks fought at Abu Klea.

Note: Collett’s contemporarily engraved Khedive’s Star was sold in these rooms in May 2018.
