Medal, silver (Capt. H. G. Reed, Chief Officer, Shanghai 1.8.46); National Fire Brigades Association L.S. Medal, 1 clasp, Ten Years, bronze (13233 Henry G. Reed.) this in case of issue, with associated card, named to Reed for the Shanghai Fire Brigade, dated 6 January 1939; together with dress miniatures of the 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th medals; lapel badges (5) - Far East P.O.W. Social Club; Shanghai Football Association Official; Army Football Association Referee; Winchester City Supporter’s Club; Hampshire Regiment; together with a silver plaque set upon a wooden shield, 170mm x 130mm, inscribed in Chinese script, very fine and better (lot) £600-800

Henry Gladstone Reed, 14th Battalion Hampshire Regiment, attached to the Chinese Labour Corps, entered the Western Front in December 1916. Later served as a Captain in the 3/9th Battalion Hampshire Regiment and was latterly Chief Officer Shanghai Fire Brigade. With copied m.i.c.
