M.I.D. London Gazette 8 December 1953:

‘In recognition of gallant and distinguished services in Korea during the period 1st January to 30th June, 1953.’

Cyril William Peat was commissioned Captain in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (T.A) in September 1948. He transferred from the T.A. to be a Lieutenant in the R.A.O.C., in February 1951, and advanced to Temporary Captain whilst serving in Korea.
